Alameda: Korean restaurant BB Bowl open for business

Yoon chose the name BB Bowl as an abbreviation for bi bim bap, a traditional Korean dish of rice topped with vegetables, sliced meat or tofu, flavorful sauces and other ingredients.

ALAMEDA — Jason Yoon has wanted to mix up the Asian food scene in Alameda for some time now, and he has turned that dream into a reality by recently opening BB Bowl.

The Korean restaurant, located near Nob Hill at 2601-B Blanding Avenue, sells rice bowls, marinated beef, kimchee and much more.

I was always thinking about this. It’s one of my favorite Korean foods, stated the Alameda resident. I thought that using the initials would make it easy to remember.
